Crushing Strongholds
In my conversation with Mickey Burrell, we talked about what it looks like to be your own biggest stronghold — how the lies we absorb in early life quietly shape our motives, our ministry, and our sense of worth, often without us ever realizing it. We explored the difference between trying harder and surrendering more, why honesty and vulnerability are actually the deepest expressions of faith, and how the wilderness teaches us to stop performing for God and start trusting Him. We also got into church hurt — what it does to people, how to navigate it without bypassing the pain, and why isolation in the wilderness is one of the most dangerous places to stay. It's a conversation for anyone who has felt simultaneously too much and not enough, and is learning that the cross already settled what they've been trying to prove.
